PA from cradle of democracy to land of insurrectionists - Paul Muschick commentary

snip: "Thursday, two of our elected officials, Congressman Scott Perry and state Sen. Doug Mastriano, were implicated as central figures in former President Donald Trump’s plot to thumb his nose at the Constitution and remain in power."

snip: "Pennsylvania also has the dubious distinction of being home to the third-most people charged in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot that sought to keep Trump on his throne. Authorities have charged 47 Pennsylvanians. Only Florida and Texas have more, according to a recent article by Forbes."

It is SO sad/frustrating/disappointing to go into the lesser populated areas around here and see the 'shrines' built to the 'Orange Blob!'
And the ones that make me want to take a 'slight turn to the right to hit the sign' are the 'Do you miss me yet?' and 'Don't blame me - I voted for Trump.'

Really, I don't remember seeing one Chump yard sign a year ago, within the city limits. There might have been a few Chump stickers on cars and pickup trucks, but those are easy to ignore.

My sister lives in Westmoreland County (just east of us) and she saw a few Chump yard signs last year, but nowhere near as many as 2016.

I believe there's hope for Pennsylvania, especially since we got the vote out in November. Mailing the ballots made a big difference here, for sure!
