Corbett appoints guy with no environmental experience to be head of environmental protection

http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/state/corbett-nominates-secretaries-to-serve-environmental-agencies-704223/

"Mr. Corbett nominated E. Christopher Abruzzo of Dauphin County as secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection...

"He's not someone who has the experience or background to be DEP secretary," said Myron Arnowitt, state director for Clean Water Action, noting Mr. Abruzzo's background in the attorney general's office.

During Mr. Abruzzo's 15 years in the attorney general's office, he prosecuted and supervised cases involving white collar crime, drug investigation and Medicaid fraud. Mr. Arnowitt said he was disappointed the governor had not nominated a secretary with more environmental training."

The previous DEP's secretary's main qualification was that his parents donated $307,000 to Corbett's campaigns.

If Repubs appoint people who are competent and experienced, then they might prove that government can work.
Besides, where's Corbett going to find a qualified environmental protector among his circle of friends?
