1. No surprise there.

I love how the article said he "plans to use the connections he made during seven years in office to build his new business". I am sure that he does not have a charmed life, he just has less principles than some of us.

Something else interesting in the article, and a little disturbing:

The drilling industry has hired a number of former government employees as it has expanded across Pennsylvania, with most coming from the Department of Environmental Protection. Many have gone into lobbying, law and communications at energy firms.

2. When I first read the headline, I was thinking of Tom Murphy

You have to understand, today Pittsburgh has only three LIVING former Mayors:

Yes, Sophie is still alive, but I did not see her as working for Frackers, the same with Tom Murphy. It took me a while to realized Luke Ravenstahl is now a "former mayor".
