Related: About this forumPA. Repubs regularly hold hearings in undersized rooms without camera feeds
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/Pa_budget_hearings_so_packed_theyre_barely_open_to_the_public.htmlArticle from Phila. Inquirer about the bad habit that PA. Repub leaders have of selecting rooms that are grossly undersized for important hearings. Few people from the public can attend. By sheer coincidence, these are also rooms that are not set up for video cameras, including from the PA. Cable Network, which is the local equivalent of C-SPAN.

All the people have to do is "close their eyes". See, it isn't that bad.

(18,219 posts)3. I am not surprised, but I am frustrated by it.
I would agree that there should be cameras recording it for all the people who cannot be there, but I also get frustrated by the lack of public interest in any of the meetings that they do have. If we had a lot of interest, we could have so many people show up to attend these meetings that they would not be able to get out of that room for all the people in the hallways trying to get in. I think that if enough people showed up, on a consistent basis, they would be forced to find a bigger venue. It just won't happen though.
