There was a movement to completely remove the portraits from public view, but instead plaques were hung under them to recognize their convictions.

I wonder if they will go back in history to find other law-breakers, or just shame the most recent ones. I think corbutt was instrumental in prosecuting some of those guys, mostly democrats.

3. At first Corbett went after Dem staffers

Corbett initially put a great amount of effort as a prosecutor going after Dem staffers. The Dems were stupid enough to write their bonuses into emails. There were plenty of clear examples of where Repub staffers had been given large bonuses of public money right after finishing a leave of absence to do political work. According to some accounts, Corbett did not intervene when the Repubs changed all of their computer hard drives.

One of Corbett's first major cases fell apart in front of a jury. At that point, he ordered all hands-on deck to go after Bonusgate - including prosecutors who might have otherwise been going after Sandusky and the Kids-for-cash judges (who were eventually prosecuted by the feds).

He then went after Dem legislators, but kept avoiding prosecuting Dewese, who was the slimiest Dem in the legislature. Eventually, Corbett gave into pressure and prosecuted Dewese and a couple Repubs, including Repub. leader Perzel, who had been instrumental in directing funding to Phila. schools. I guess Corbett hated Phila. schools more than he liked Republicans.

The most corrupt PA. politicians (such as power mongrel Vince Fumo) were actually prosecuted by the feds, and not by Corbett.

4. The architect of the Capitol Bdg also went to prison for corruption

They should also hang a plaque under the Rotunda of the State Capitol noting that the architect of the building also went to prison for massive corruption. It was one of the most expensive buildings ever built at the time.

There also were some serious allegations of corruption when the Capitol was given an ugly expansion in the 1980s.
