Again, Corbett blames failed drug tests for unemployment

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/20141016_Corbett_blows_smoke_again_on_employee_drug_testing.html

Corbett this week repeated his claim that the reason why many people are unemployed is because they fail employer drug tests. To back up his claim, he said 2 years ago, he was ready to hire a woman to work at the Governor's Mansion, but when she found out she would need a drug test, she said should wouldn't pass.

I guess he can't understand why anyone would be unemployed when there are 250,000 jobs listed on his official PA jobs website .... actually it is 200,000 when you get rid of the duplicates and outdated listings... actually it is 150,000 when you delete the jobs on the PA. website that are in other states and other countries... actually it is 130,000 if you don't already have a current Commercial Driver's License... actually it is lower when you remove the jobs involving prostitution and S&M... actually.....

And I hope so too.

I would post some of the things that I find on the PA Career Link job site, but I am so sick of looking at it that I refuse to go on it right now. Maybe I will put something together from it next time I am there. Jobs posted in May or June are still listed. There was one for a one evening job dancing at a private party---that one would do a lot of good to someone who needs a job. An abundance of temp jobs. Just for anyone who is looking for work, I find indeed.com to be the nicest that I have found so far.

supposedly random, although the same students seem to come up rather than school board members kids or teacher's kids. Sometimes they fail, yet when they take the test at private Drs. office, they don't fail.

I remember Abbie Hoffman's book telling that at least 20% failure rate for these tests. Seems that hasn't changed much. I have seen businesses fail after implementing these things, they lose much of their skilled workers.

The local Auto-Zone has testing for new hires. I have been there, looking for parts.
I call these new workers drug-free idiots. They couldn't find their ass with both hands.
