Corbett approves $2.5 million State grant to Company with multiple unpaid taxes & govt. loans

Corbett has been playing Santa Claus right before the election, passing out many multi-million dollar state grants to various businesses. Some are good projects, such as projects to revitalize poor cities. Others are highly questionable, in regards to whether they need or deserve a taxpayer subsidy. In Lehigh County, he recently approved multiple millions of grants to subsidize the costs of building a new suburban shopping center.

Here's another questionable example:

State and Allegheny County officials blamed each other Tuesday for a $2.5 million state grant awarded to a movie studio owner with a history of unpaid taxes, property liens and outstanding payments on county loans.

....Sam Bozzolla, a county project manager who works with the redevelopment authority, said neither the county nor the authority advocated for the state to support the project.
