5. I'm sure that they LOVE my ancestor's Revolutionary War flag.

I traveled to Westmoreland County years ago for genealogy research of my ancestor John Proctor, and his Revolutionary War battalion's flag was flown above their government buildings:


I bought a pillow with that flag on it and used to keep it on my couch, but now the WEIRDOS have co-opted that rattlesnake symbol. It's in a closet now.

The irony was that he lost his land as an old man because he didn't have paperwork for it (after being the first sheriff there in his youth, back when that area was still a wild frontier), so someone else snatched it. He then lived out his final days with a son in Northern KY.

John's father was buried near Benjamin Franklin in Philly.
