Klan leader, who organized neighborhood watches in Pennsylvania, is shot to death in Missouri
A Ku Klux Klan leader who in 2014 organized neighborhood watches in York County and said Klan membership in Lancaster County was strong was murdered over the weekend in Missouri.
Frank Ancona, 51, was found shot to death in Leadwood, according to reports in the Park Hills Daily Journal.
In 2014, Ancona was the spokesman for the Klan after leaflets appeared in York County communities promoting a neighborhood watch.
You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake! the leaflets read in part.
Ancona called himself an imperial wizard with the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. The groups website describes the group as a White Patriotic Christian organization that bases its roots back to the Ku Klux Klan of the early 20th century.
