Hey, Y'all

[link:https://sign.moveon.org/petitions/governor-mcmaster-extend-vote-by-mail-to-all-in-south-carolina?

I've been mostly a lurker here since I joined back in the Bush days. Now and then I pop up. I'm popping up again to ask you to take a look at this petition to allow no excuses voting by mail in South Carolina. As you probably know, the Guvnah has extended it on a temporary basis for the June primary. The petition asks to have it permanently extended to everyone who wants it. So please, take a look, and sign and share if you're in favor of it. My stand is nobody should have to risk their life or their health to vote. Thanks and I hope this link works.

We have close to all mail voting now with how our absentee votes work.
Everyone over 65 can vote absentee, and there are about a dozen other categories.
I’m not advocating that anyone lie, but some of the categories are so vague they are hard to question. Things like “work conflict,” “scheduled doctors appointment,” “ill or caring for someone who is ill,” etc.

With Covid, I think someone could ask for a ballot on basis of illness, and say that they thought they were experiencing virus symptoms like headaches, fatigue, etc.

I just absentee voted in GOP primary because there are no Dem contested races. Three challengers to Lindsey - two are running to the right of him because 10 years ago he was reasonable on immigration policy, but one is a moderate compared to Lindsey. So I will get to vote against the asshole twice this year.

And we have a strong candidate to go against despicable Joe “you lie!” Wilson in the 2nd District.
