Islamic Center vandalism: Murfreesboro man pleads guilty to 2017 crime
One of the men charged with vandalizing the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro last summer entered a guilty plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court.
Charles Dwight Stout III, 20, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to damage religious property and causing damage to religious property because of its religious character, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's office.
Forgiving and forgetting
"This is a moment of closure to our community," Saleh Sbenaty, ICM spokesman, said Wednesday.
Sbenaty attended the plea hearing, and plans to attend the sentencing, set for August.
