Clarksville florist/military spouse heading to DC to help with WH Christmas decorations

(aka "the fucking Chreessmus stuff and decorations", in Slovenian sex worker parlance).
https://www.newschannel5.com/news/clarksville-florist-heading-to-d-c-to-decorate-the-white-house-for-christmas

"A Clarksville floral designer is taking her talents to the White House. Out of thousands of people who applied, Kassie Peterson was chosen as one of the florists to join the White House Christmas decorating crew.
....
Peterson opened her floral shop "Kassie Kay Floral Designs" back in June on Franklin Street in downtown Clarksville during the midst of the pandemic.

"It's been very challenging," said Peterson. "We had to dial back a lot of our workshops and in-person events."

She says going to the White House for this opportunity was a dream come true.
....

Peterson is a mom and military spouse. Her husband is currently in Kuwait, deployed with the 101st Airborne Division.
.....
"It was great news to share with my husband he’s currently in Kuwait right now and deployed so it’s been a fun and exciting thing to share with him," Peterson said."

Not an angry potential divorcee who can’t wait to get out of the place and be done with all the f’ing Christmas decorations.

Good for her. She’ll be able to use this for the rest of her career.

who, like her, are thrilled and proud to have been chosen. And yes, as she is a small business owner trying to stay afloat in a pandemic, this will be a great boost for her both now and in the future. I am also glad that something positive is happening for the spouse of a deployed soldier. The sacrifices of blue star families is often overlooked. As an aside, our incoming First Lady has a great track record of advocacy for military families. But for now, when I see the WH Christmas decorations this year, I will try to focus on the efforts of the talented floral artisans who felt excited and honored to be a part of it, and not let the jaded mannequin- in-chief ruin it for me.

For food to florist to anything it’s pretty cool to have the White House as part of your story.

Reminds of the state fair - we used to go and I loved how someone had a blue ribbon for....peach jelly or black and white still photo or a bonsai tree or whatever. I’d be proud as hell to have one.
