An interesting unscientific poll:

The poll is from The Highlander which serves Marble Falls, Llano, and Burnet to the northwest of Austin. This is a fairly conservative and reasonably well-off portion of the state.

Who is Greg Abbott?

The Texas Attorney General. - (47% / 87 votes)

A candidate who entered the Republican gubernatorial primary with over $23 million in past campaign donations. - (4% / 8 votes)

Gov. Rick Perry's separated-at-birth twin and contender to succeed him as King of Special Interests. - (6% / 11 votes)

All of the above. - (43% / 81 votes)

Total voters: 187

While the poll does not state whether people would vote for Abbott, the fact that 49% of the respondents selected the third and fourth options means that there is some negativity associated with Abbott which spells good news for a possible upset by a Democrat in the 2014 gubernatorial race.
