Amarillo: Overpasses organization protests president on 9/11

An unscientific poll of Interstate 40 and Olsen Boulevard drivers Wednesday revealed the obvious: a lot of people in the Texas Panhandle would like to see President Barack Obama impeached.

A group of about a dozen protesters held a banner and waved signs on the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks asking, among other things, for motorists passing under and on the Olsen Boulevard I-40 overpass to honk if they wanted the President removed.

The results were noisy and continuous about 6:30 p.m.

“It’s been fantastic,” protester Treva Harper said, holding a red-white-and-blue sign that read REMOVE THE USURPER.
