Former constable's deputy sentenced to prison for kidnapping, attempted sex assault

BRYAN -

Former Brazos County constable's deputy Agustin Rubio was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday morning after pleading guilty to kidnapping and attempted sexual assault charges.

As part of the plea agreement, Rubio will be required to register as a sex offender for life once he’s released from prison.

The former deputy for Brazos County Precinct 2 Constable Donald Lampo turned himself in on Aug. 31, 2011, after police said Rubio handcuffed a woman walking in the area of Fraternity Row and Deacon Drive, then placed her in his car.

Police said the woman was never booked and instead woke up in a parking lot about four hours after a College Station patrol car video recorded Rubio putting her in his vehicle.
