I love this concept. A large number of Texas citizens are being punished due to Rick Perry's refusal to extend Medicaid in Texas. Texans are going to make this an issue in the 2014 elections http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/obamacare-medicaid-expansion-political-advocacy

So far, the effort is most organized in Texas, which is also the state with the most people in that Medicaid expansion gap: 1 million. But it's likely to pick up elsewhere as the Obama administration and outside advocates apply pressure to the 25 states that have resisted expansion for the first year.

Texas Left Me Out, the combined effort of several community groups, is a website designed to collect those people's stories and organize them into a cohesive political action constituency. It asks those in the Medicaid gap to sign a petition to stay informed about advocacy events and share their story on the site.

Are they going to turn Texas blue on the backs of people who have traditionally been ignored by Republicans? Are they going to convince an anti-Obamacare stalwart like Rick Perry to buy into the law? That's a tough sell. But they're going to try.

This is a great concept and program. Someone has to let the people being screwed by Perry know about this issue and see if they be mobilized

1. Rick Perry talks all over America about how Texas has created the most new jobs. Perry did not

tell that all of those low pay jobs do not pay enough for the worker to be enrolled in the Medicaid Expansion part of, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and that the Texas taxpayers will have to pick up the Medicaid bills for these low paid workers. It is very important that every Texan know that Republicans are responsible for the gap. In 2013, the ACA moved the Medicaid level up to 138% of the Poverty Line. Medicaid will impact all minimum wage and under, workers.

Republicans are so proud to screw most EVERY taxpayer in this state. And two of them are running in a Presidential Primary touting how they screwed the people of Texas.

2. With or without Medicaid Expansion, W2 Forms will come to most employees. If the, "Gap Workers",

have not already been through the health care registration, they will be able to know for sure what their earnings are by the end of January 2014. Do they konw that they can go though the Market Place registration and be directed to the State Medicaid system from the ACA. This easier way to State Medicaid registration ends March 15. After that date, Patient Protection ends in my opinion, and workers are on their own trying to get approval from the Texas Health and Human Services, eligibility screening for Medicaid.

April 15 is the IRS Tax Return date. Shortly after, the government should be able to determine who is in the, "Gap". The Supreme Court made the decision to take up the ACA from Congress and create a gap.

A Single Payer system could cover those in the gap. Senator Sanders and supporters are working on that now. Keep in mind that workers pay into the Social Security System. If they become disabled, they receive registration through, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. That is a patient protection act. Seems to me that Gap Workers, have no patient protection unless a Single Payer Bill is put into place by the Senate.

How about the number of workers and wages between 0 and 50 Percentile, using minimum wage and below and part time work? Texas seems to be in a bad situation and desperately needs the Patient Protection of a Medicaid Expansion to keep from having hospitals and providers sending medical bills to the Texas Health and Human Services for payment by the State instead of with ACA funds. This needs to be a big campaign issue for 2014.

Texas has the highest rate of uninsured people in the U.S. Over 6 million Texans are uninsured. But when the state of Texas had a chance to cover more people, it chose instead to leave out about 1 million hard-working Texans.

8. Is there a way to get a written transcript, newsletter of report with the facts, figures and

organizations represented here? I doubt that the newspapers could address this to the degree of importance that it really is.

And I would like a response from the Texas Legislature as to why they did or did not support the Medicaid Expansion. It is an election campaign issue.
