that's not just A Dallas thing, It's a Texas thing. My granddaughter lives in East Texas, and she said half the girls in her high school have the silly things. Better to find a husband that way.

My personal "hates" are the obviously, wealth favoring Mayor and the very expensive fake suspension bridges.

Dallas wants so bad to be recognized as a cultural city that they have faked everything and lost what made this city real.
