Synthetic Drugs Sicken 30 in North Texas

Dallas police are investigating a rash of overdoses attributed to a bad batch of synthetic marijuana that a medical source says is causing people to become violent, have hallucinations and, in some cases, suffer seizures.

NBC 5 has learned there have been more than 30 overdoses in the last 48 hours, a number that is much higher than anything seen on an average day.

Nearly two dozen people were treated at a single Dallas hospital on Thursday, many brought by ambulance and some so violent they had to be restrained.

One medical source told NBC 5 that some patients were overly aggressive while others were lethargic and that they were obviously intoxicated on something.

This comes after the thread I posted yesterday about similar circumstances occurring in Austin. 17 people were treated in Austin hospitals within the past two days.

Keep it real and skip the K2 people!

This is I think a good reason to decriminalize recreational drugs so their safety could be monitored.
