A Springtown man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison for the brutal assault and kidnapping of a gay man he met online, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Brice Johnson, 20, and then-24-year-old Arron Keahey agreed to meet at Johnsons house to engage in sexual activity after the pair communicated on the website MeetMe.com on Sept. 2, 2013.
When Keahey showed up, Johnson severely beat him, bound him with electrical cord and put him in the trunk of his car, according to an FBI press release. Johnson then drove to a friends house, where his friend told him to take Keahey to a hospital or they would call police. Johnson eventually drove Keahey to an EMS station in Springtown, which is northwest of Fort Worth.
Keahey was hospitalized for 10 days and treated for multiple skull and facial fractures.
