Young Conservative of Texas at Texas Tech to hold campus carry rally

Lubbock, Texas -- A rally for campus carry legislation will be held at the intersection of University Avenue and Broadway from 2 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Young Conservatives of Texas, a grassroots political organization, is holding the rally for all supporters of the Second Amendment in the community.

Currently, the Senate version of a bill allowing campus carry has passed the Senate and is awaiting consideration in the House.

According to a news release from Prince Phwitiko, the leader of the Young Conservatives of Texas, the organization wants to show its support for the Second Amendment because the issue of gun rights is controversial.
