Lubbock 2nd-grader receives response letter from President Obama on equal pay



When Sage Kyle heard about the inequality of pay in the workforce, it did not seem right to her.

So, the 8-year-old Roscoe Wilson Elementary school student did something about it, and wrote a letter to President Barack Obama.

“I was really mad,” she said, “and I thought (Obama) should change it right away, and I didn’t know I could send him a letter. I knew I could send him an email but I did not know I could send him a letter. So, I was really happy that I could.”

Sage was recognized Thursday at the Roscoe Wilson gymnasium for her initiative in contacting Obama.
