Austin-area residents: did you get hailed on, yesterday?

My Austin friends are posting a lot of dramatic photos on Facebook, and I hear that downtown took a plastering.

1. There were some serious storms yesterday.

Here in my part of Dallas, we had about 5 inches of rain.
Been a very rainy month. April Showers is living up to its name.
But here in dry north Tx, I have to say that the trees & foliage are more lush than ever. Its beautiful.
Lakes that were reduced to ponds in recent drought years are filling up again.

However, hailstorms are so destructive & those today with shattered windows & property have our sympathy. Hard & expensive to recover from that kind of quick destruction.

2. I wish we had pictures because our deck looked like it had snowed

3. Houston got hail Sunday.

I guess we need a new roof every two years.
