Permian's Kali Holcomb connects for a double against Frenship during their area game on Friday in Wolfforth. (Shannon Wilson/AJ Media)

WOLFFORTH — The intensity of {Lubbock} Frenship’s matchup with {Odessa} Permian was felt not only on the field, but also in the stands.

But no one got to watch the end of the game.

A fight broke out among the fans at the Class 6A area playoff matchup in the sixth inning when Frenship took its first lead of the game after trailing by a huge margin and forced both teams to clear its fans from the game.

The game resumed moments later and Frenship came out on top, 10-9, in Game 1 of the series on Friday at Frenship.

in Baltimore, they played a game with no fans because of the rioting that had been going on in the city.

in Texas, they play a game with no fans because of the rioting going on in the stands.

Yea, Texas!
