New George West council fires city manager and police chief

GEORGE WEST - The new city council in George West takes drastic action by firing the city manager and the chief of police.
It's a story we've been covering for more than a year in our 6 Investigates reports.
Residents packed city hall on Friday for a special called by the newly-elected city council.
Right after learning that he was being fired, Chief Rey Garcia went on the attack.
"None of you have the nerve to call me and let me know what's going on.. That's your city council right there," fired Police Chief Rey Garcia told those assembled at the meeting.
