Texas man with crazy mugshot pleads guilty to threatening to blow up federal courthouse in Amarillo
A 30-year-old Amarillo man shown with Satanic facial tattoos in his booking photo pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges that he threatened to blow a federal courthouse "sky high."
Dillon Alexander Steele faces up to 10 years in federal prison after entering a guilty plea in a federal court in Amarillo on a charge of mailing threatening communication.
Steele, already serving a 35-year term in state prison on an aggravated robbery charge, sent a letter to the federal courthouse in Amarillo stating an intent to destroy the building, court documents show.
"I'm gonna kill everyone at the courthouse, and the federal building, I'm gonna blow everything up sky high, maybe after nothing but death and destruction someone will listen then!" the April 10, 2014, letter reads.
