Mr. Conservative says he will run to replace Neugebauer in District 19

Dr. Donald May

AUSTIN – It may take a few days, perhaps even weeks, to know who is running for U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer’s seat.

As of Thursday afternoon, right after the Lubbock Republican announced he won’t seek re-election next year, of 10 potential candidates in the South Plains A-J Media called, only Dr. Donald May – who challenged the seven-term congressman in last year’s Republican primary and also ran in 2003 when it was an open seat – said he will run.

“What we need in Washington are people who understand the Constitution, who understand the law and are not afraid to stand up to Democrats and to Republicans,” May said. “We need to cut the size of our government … the sole purpose of our government is to protect the rights of the people, it says that in the preamble.”

Two others potential candidates, Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson and Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman Carl Tepper, said they’re considering a run.

Dr. May will be campaigning against low-flow showerheads, automatic flushing toilets, President Obama and Hillary Clitnton. In the meantime he has filed a lawsuit claiming defamation of character against a Texas Tech law student who alleges sexual harassment and stalking.

I have a rainfall showerhead which actually works better then most shower heads that don't get you wet fast so takes up more water overall. I need more specifics on what this means.

these are life's little luxuries that people pay for, not leftist intrusions.

I suppose a psychiatrist might be able to work out why this bloke is so obsessed with toilets!

You might want to set your drink down so you don't spray your computer screen.

And I'm not talking about Cosby's childhood buddy or Trump.

May appears to not be content with being a local laughing stock...he aspires to be a state/national laughing stock, as well.

And with his buddies at the LAJ/LOL constantly running interference for him, he may just have a chance, this time.

I think that Donald should be more concerned about keeping his defamation lawsuit against the Texas Tech student out of the headlines than running for Congress. He could have quietly swept the affair under the rug by staying away from the campus, but he believes that his rights to appear on campus are more important than for the student to have a safe learning environment without intimidation and stalking.

And I agree with you that May's priorities are questionable, to say the least.

It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Oh, I am well acquainted with May's daily doses of dimwittery, and how the LAJ/LOL coddles him by deleting honest criticism. But, it's important that people know and understand the guy and his often bizarre notions.

And, when is he gonna update that decades-old photo he uses all the time? I guess he's too vain to use this one:
