Williamson County DA attacks judge’s ruling in capital murder case

The fight over the Williamson County capital murder case of Crispin Harmel has heated up again, with the district attorney alleging in a court document that a judge retaliated against her for examining his divorce records.

A gag order in the case also needs to be lifted because it is hurting District Attorney Jana Duty’s political career by not letting her respond to accusations against her in the case, according to another document filed Thursday.

Duty filed a document called “Objections to Judge’s Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law” saying that District Judge Rick Kennon ruled Sept. 10 that she withheld evidence in the case because he was mad at her for looking into his divorce from his third wife.

Kennon declined to comment Friday, saying the Harmel case was still pending.

So in summary, we have a corrupt district attorney that violated a gag order who then searches for evidence to influence a trial by going through the divorce records of a judge with the probable intent of blackmailing him. Then we have a judge who may have possibly committed perjury and has problems with personal relationships along with extramarital affairs.

The best thing that Williamson County can do is to flush the Republicans that run their corrupt political system out of office at the next election.
