Pro-Life Waco demonstrators held a dawn to dusk rally Tuesday on the Interstate 35 pedestrian bridge at South Eighth Street.
WACO -- Pro-Life Waco volunteers held their longest demonstration to date on the pedestrian bridge over Interstate 35 near downtown Tuesday, taking advantage of what organizers say is a growth of support after the release of undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the costs of donating fetal tissue for medical research.
The anti-abortion group had banners up on the bridge by 7 a.m. calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and an end to all abortions, and it planned to keep the dawn-to-dusk demonstration going until 7 p.m.
Even in Waco, where there is no shortage of support for their cause, the videos have given local demonstrations a boost, Pro-Life Waco director John Pisciotta said.
The Center for Medical Progress created the videos and released them this summer.
