Former Bee Agricultural Co. pres. indicted by Jackson County in $15 million criminal activity scheme
EDNA – Grand jurors in Jackson County have returned first degree felony indictments on six defendants accused of stealing grain from numerous farmers in the South Texas area over a period of almost three years.
All six were indicted on a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity-theft. The six men allegedly bilked farmers out of an estimated $15 million.
If convicted, each defendant faces a prison sentence of 15 to 99 years or life.
The indictments were filed on Sept. 30 by the district clerk in Jackson County.
