Texas State dance squad to perform in Trumps inaugural parade, triggers social media backlash
The Texas State University Strutters have announced they will perform at President-elect Donald Trumps inaugural parade in Washington D.C. next month, triggering a whirl of negative reactions on social media.
Several Twitter users criticizing the university dancing squads decision to participate in the event reported being blocked by the Strutters. On Thursday evening, the groups Twitter account appeared to have been disabled.

The team made the announcement Wednesday, which was initially met with mixed reactions and ranged from congratulations to calls to reconsider.
I promise it will be one of the lifetime experiences at the top of your list, wrote Carol Yarbrough, a self-identified Texas State alumna, on the Strutters Facebook page. I was fortunate to have been with the original group performing for President Kennedy.... still a moment of great pride. Enjoy every minute.
