Texas Gov. Greg Abbott responds to tweet asking why God hasn't answered his prayers to walk again

On Wednesday evening a Twitter user (aka troll) asked Governor Greg Abbott why God has never helped him walk again.

“Hey @GregAbbott_TX, since you’re so holy and close to God, when is going to make you walk again,” asked the user, tagging the governor's personal Twitter handle, not his official state handle.

The cruel user (who has since had his account shut down by Twitter) also added the hashtags #crippledgreg and #charlatanabbott at the end of the message.

Governor Abbott responded quickly with a testimony of his own, flipping the script on the user in the process.

“I’ve never asked God to make me walk again. I only ask that He empower me to do His will,” tweeted Abbott. “It appears my prayers have been answered."

It's pointless to ask God to restore his bipedal locomotion, because God does not work miracles. But God does enable His followers to do evil shit to their fellow human beings, and Abbott is on board with that.
