Photo of 'angry' cat in Harvey floodwaters sparks memes, controversy



A photo of a cat swimming for dry ground in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has sparked memes – and some controversy – on social media.

The image, captured by an LA Times photographer, shows an orange cat attempting to swim its way to safety after a nearby apartment building flooded.




As one Twitter user pointed out, this cat did not look happy.
