Dallas GOP Rep. Jason Villalba calls conservative blogger fat, stupid in Twitter rant
A Republican lawmaker from Dallas has deleted a Twitter rant from Friday night in which he called a conservative activist a "fat, oafish dufus [sic]."
Rep. Jason Villalba, R-Dallas, apologized Saturday for the tweets, saying he allowed himself to be goaded into a fight with blogger Aaron Harris.

"It was a mistake on my part," Villalba told The Dallas Morning News on Monday. "I recognize that it is beneath the dignity of the office I hold. I sincerely apologize to Aaron Harris for the comments."
Harris said he accepts Villalba's apology but does not expect his behavior to change.
