Cardinal Daniel DiNardo's computer seized during search of Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston

We’re learning new details about the search that took place at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston earlier this week.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo’s computer was seized by investigators Wednesday. It was one of up to a dozen electronics taken in the search.

The DA’s office says since the search, they’ve received additional tips in the investigation into Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez. He’s the priest who was charged in September on four counts of in indecency with a child.

In the search warrant filed Wednesday, the DA’s office sought to examine confidential documents held in the Archdiocese’s Chancery and secret archives.

Wm posted about this raid yesterday at his blog bilgrimage.blogspot.com. He included link to video from Houston tv station about this raid.

Also states it's one of v few police search and seizure of Catholic files in US on priests reported for abuse whose cases have been quietly handled 'in house.'
