$5 million still outstanding in Reagor-Dykes Auto Group TT&L fees

Counsel for Reagor-Dykes Auto Group provided a brief update on consumer resolutions Wednesday during a Lubbock federal bankruptcy court hearing.

Ashley Ellis, attorney for Reagor-Dykes, said progress is being made in paying outstanding tax, title, license and trade lien fees, but not at a rate any party would like. She said the debtors are constrained by time, money and personnel.

As of Wednesday, there are still 737 vehicles with unresolved tax, title and license issues. There are also 195 examples of unpaid trade-in liens. The unsettled fees total $5.4 million.

Counsel for Reagor-Dykes asked retail lenders to pay outstanding fees that impact customers, citing a legal rule that is meant to protect consumers.
