Liberty County District Attorney Arrested On Assault Charge
Liberty County District Attorney Logan Pickett was arrested Saturday in downtown Houston and charged with misdemeanor assault.
Court documents accuse the 38-year old prosecutor of pushing his wife, Megan Pickett, with his hand. Media outlets report the incident left a cut on her head for which she refused medical treatment.
Pickett faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000, if convicted.
Pickett was released on a $1,000 bond and faces arraignment on December 3. His concealed handgun license has been suspended, per a pre-trial supervision order filed Saturday.
