17 candidates in GOP primary for Texas CD 22

I am friends with and have donated to the likely Democratic candidate Sri Preston Kulkarni. This is an open seat and the GOP primary will be fun to watch

Texas has a resign to run law as part of the Texas constitution. Certain offices have to resign in order to run for office and one of these offices is county sheriff. The current county sheriff has sort of announced that he was running in the GOP primary to replace Pete Olson and the Democrats looked at whether he could be ousted early

Tomorrow is the filing deadline and Nehls is running

Nehls is an asshole and Juanita Jean will have some comments tomorrow https://juanitajean.com/in-case-you-missed-it-3/
His replacement on the GOP ticket will likely be Sheriff Troy Nehls, who is about 5′ 4″ and is armed with a degree from Liberty University. He cannot say the words President Obama so he calls him, “that clown in Washington.” He is to the right of Donald Trump but with far less education. He also has strange blonde hair. However, we expect the Republicans to have a blood letting in their primary.
Democrats will likely nominate Sri Preston Kulkarni to herald our ticket. Sri was our nominee two years ago and turned out Asian voters like we’ve never seen before.

Nehls also arrested a lady I know (thank you Juanita Jean) who was arrested for this bumper sticker

There are 16 people in the GOP primary already including a lady who self-funded a race in TX CD 2 against Dan Crenshaw where she spent several million dollars on her race to come in third in the primary in 2018.

This will be fun
