Ok. Just learned from an impeccable source that our local

hospital is currently treating a corona virus patient.

BUT...there is nothing on news, Twitter, Facebook, internet, or paper.

Our county supposedly has zero cases.

Makes me think there's hiding going on.

State and local health departments will NOT announce (count) a case until they are PCR-confirmed.

I think somehow I answered in the wrong thread, I even had to check the date. Why I would respond as if this was a month ago is beyond me.
Of course they are. I'm in Fl. and we are on an inevitable crash course with complete disaster here. They have doing this shit, since late January.
Rumors have been coming from several states, since the beginning.
Kansas, NC, upstate NY and FL. all were using HIPPA to avoid reporting cases.

And now they aren't. Couldn't find, for example, any kind of reporting on how many tests have been performed in Texas. Gov Abbott claims the state can perform 300 tests per day. But hell, he can just pull that out of his ass... nothing to match back to.

In addition, another confusing point. Say a local hospital somehow has a test. Does CDC have to approve the test again? That's what one of our counties said....they think positive but waiting on CDC to confirm.

I bet Florida IS a cluster with all those retirees too. I imagine wealthy people will do whatever to keep their illness secret too. There is a certain stigma.

legit on CDC and then they posted a disclaimer that they didn't have the right numbers because state and local not reporting to them anymore. Then it went to hell and a handbasket. Texas Tribune seems to be trying to keep up. Blue states probably accurate.

If anyone I love comes down with this virus and you can point to information being withheld as an indirect cause, I am suing every mother fucker I can think of.

End rant.
