They survived cold in the past, even ice ages. They survived rocks from space. Alligator don’t care.

Cold just slows them down but it’d have to be a prolonged event for anything to happen to them.

As a comparison, alligators are also native to North Carolina, which is colder than South and East Texas.

Texas is making headlines for lack of electricity. Otherwise, the weather would be a slip'n slide affair. We've had similar cold in the 80's. . It was the lack of power that made this such a disaster.
