Judge rejects lawsuit against Northside's student tracking system

Excerpts snipped....

A federal judge Tuesday ruled that Northside Independent School District can transfer a student out of her magnet school program for refusing to wear her student I.D. badge in protest against a new electronic tracking system.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia rejected a lawsuit brought by Andrea Hernandez, 15, through her father, Steve Hernandez, backed by lawyers provided by the Rutherford Institute.

Hernandez and her lawyer couldn't immediately be reached Tuesday afternoon, but she said after last month's federal hearing on the case that she planned to appeal if she wasn't satisfied with Garcia's ruling.

Steven and Andrea Hernandez testified at a hearing last month that they consider the tags the “mark of the beast” foretold as a tool of the Antichrist in the biblical Book of Revelation.

My comments: This student was not attending her home campus. She is a guest at the magnet school. When they tried to send her back to her home campus because she refused to wear the RFID she and her family took legal action. A magnet school can send you back to your home campus for minor rule violations.

It's child abuse to make your child think that an ID badge is the mark of the beast.
