State District Judge denies $1M bond reduction for teen in kidnapping of 11-year-old girl

CORPUS CHRISTI — A 17-year-old Carroll High School student accused of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl last month had his motion to reduce bail denied Wednesday.

Eric Dimick, 17, Jacob Musich, 18, and Colton Visor, 18, were arrested about 4 a.m. Dec. 30 on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, of an 11-year-old girl. The girl was abducted about 7:20 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 6900 block of Braesvalley Drive.

The three men are being held in the Nueces County Jail on $1 million bail. Dimick and his attorney Vincent Gonzalez were in court Wednesday asking State District Judge Tom Greenwell to reduce bail and allow him to go home.

"A million dollars is out of the question," Gonzalez said in court. "A bond is not meant to be punishment. I'm asking the court for a reasonable bond and reasonable conditions."
