While I'm not enamored of many things Texas,I'm a huge Texas style blues fan.....Freddie King..Anson Funderburgh.....Smokin' Joe Kubek....Jimmy Vaughn and his little brother....I'm not familiar with the name,Ray Wylie Hubbard,though I'd be surprised if I haven't heard some of the music...

Daughter and I saw him at Gruene Hall probably 25 years ago. Hadn't heard anything from him recently and I thought he'd hung it up.

It's hard for me to stay up that late but I'll give it a shot.

I recently discovered his music and love it. Mother Blues is off his newest disc...The Grifter's Hymnal and I believe its about the old Mother Blues club in Dallas. I know you've heard of him...I mean everyone knows Up Against the Wall Red Neck Mother He still plays all over Texas and I think he's got a gig coming up in Dallas soon.
