To catch a human smuggler

There is not a question that undocumented immigrants come through Bee, Live Oak, Karnes, McMullen and Goliad counties every day. The question is what to do about it.

Many of the these counties are large with miles of rural roads and a limited number of sheriff’s office patrol deputies to man them.

Each county has done its best to come up with a feasible solution to the problem.

The story continues with details by county as to the efforts and the funding sources to stop smuggling.

There are two other points that I want to mention:
1) The newspaper used the politically correct term "undocumented immigrants" instead of "illegal aliens" or worse--that's a surprise.
2) The smugglers use older model maroon vehicles for smuggling. Therefore, some words of advice to our DU members associated with Texas A&M to spread the word. In addition, if selling a vehicle then verify that the vehicle title is transferred in lieu of having to answer questions from the DPS later. (I'm picking on mbperrin and TexasProgressive )

Searches like this one in 2011 are becoming more common as deputies spend more hours trying to stop undocumented immigrants as they enter the country.
