Anti-Vax TX Militia Activist On Ventilator For Something

The San Angelo Standard-Times reports:

The battle between public health and personal freedom is a familiar one in Tom Green County, of which San Angelo resident Caleb Wallace took an active role. On July 4, 2020, Caleb helped organize “The Freedom Rally.” A flyer for the event called it a peaceful protest by people “sick of the government being in control of our lives.” Signs carried by protesters that day criticized the wearing of masks, business closures, the science behind COVID-19, and liberal media.

On July 26, Jessica said her husband began experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus: shortness of breath, high fever, and a dry cough. Those symptoms became worse the following day. At first, Caleb refused to get tested for COVID-19, or go to the hospital. Caleb instead began taking tablets of Ivermectin, high doses of Vitamin C, zinc aspirin, and an inhaler. By July 30, however, Caleb was taken by a relative to the emergency room at Shannon Medical Center.

Wallace’s Freedom Defenders group also organized a boycott of local pro-mask businesses. Their Facebook page was deleted the day he went into the hospital, where he has been on a ventilator since August 8th. In the video below, he harasses a county worker. In an April letter to the paper quoted above, he signs off as “West Texas Minutemen State Coordinator.”

This guy quite obviously has issues. The name collecting, the lawsuit threats, the activist meetings. The way he behaved in that video is appalling. He was threatening and condescending, not to mention arrogant.

Jessica, his wife, is pitiful. I think she knows her husband is a major asshole because of the way she cites his good works during the freeze last winter.

I can’t imagine being in a worse situation, with a child on the way. A fourth one. When do you have time to go raise hell about your freedom when you are strapped down with family responsibilities? Where are you going to get the money to sue?

Psychologically speaking, maybe he’s displacing his loss of freedom in life because of being tied down with heavy family responsibilities. Instead of being honest about the issue, he goes out and screams about his freedom.

For us. We’ve tried reasoning with these people, we’ve tried showing the science, we’ve even tried appealing to their patriotism. Nothing worked.

Now this guy’s got the COVID virus, a virus that doesn’t care about “owning the Libs,” so-called Aryan immune systems, or about “freedumb.”

The virus is going to do what it’s going to do. Caleb Wallace is a big boy who took his chances. Things don’t look so good for him right now. I won’t thank him for people I love and care about at risk.
