Seniors vote by mail

HOUSTON — A Texas appeals court denied GOP activist Steven Hotze and Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller’s petition to stop the Harris County elections administrator from sending vote-by-mail applications to all registered voters 65 and older. The Republicans sought an order requiring the elections administrator send vote-by-mail applications only to voters who requested them.

3. This is for the Nov 2, 2021 election, which is basically a local school board election

and constitutional amendments election.

A new law goes into effect on Dec 1st, which will make sending out applications without the voter's request illegal.

The state will be probably not appeal because Harris County is currently on the right side of the law. The Nov 2nd election is an extremely low turnout election. (About 8%)...

REally stupid new law for repugs because they were the main users of mail in votes prior to 2020. Old people are majority repugs & it's them that are more disabled so TX Taliban is hurting their own base. Stupidity is one of their features, for sure.
