Astros fan accused of throwing cans at Sen. Ted Cruz gets no-billed, documents show

Joseph Halm Arcidiacono was accused of throwing two unopened cans of alcohol at Sen. Ted Cruz during the Astros championship parade, according to court documents.

HOUSTON — The man accused of throwing two cans of alcohol at U.S. Senator Ted Cruz has been no-billed by a grand jury, according to documents.

In November during the Houston Astros World Series parade, court documents said Joseph Halm Arcidiacono, 33, launched two unopened 12-ounce cans of "liquor" at Cruz during the parade.

He was charged with aggravated assault and had his bail set at $40,000. On Friday, a grand jury declined to indict him.

Video of the incident went viral on social media showing Cruz and a man beside him reaching out to try and block the can. The man next to Cruz then appeared to point toward someone in the crowd and talk into a radio.

If you watch the video, the can does not look like it even hit Cruz, the guy next to him deflected it with his hand. Calling that "aggravated assault" was ridiculous overcharging. Glad the grand jury did the right thing.

I would love to throw something at ted cruz. Probably would strain something - (I was showing the grandsons how to skip a Frisbee before Christmas dinner and by dessert I had Voltaren on my shoulder, elbow and wrist. Missed golf the following Wed.)

...that the assailant wasn't the gun-toting weasel type that the RW GOP encourages to attack Democrats.

Mr. Arcidiacono probably acted on the spur of the moment upon seeing the miscreant, or else why would he waste his beer?

Regarding the exoneration, is there video of Mr. Arcidiacono throwing the beer cans? The No Bill was not the result the County Prosecutor expected.

I might suggest something cheaper for the future: eggs. The security staff gets messy too.

Tell Me, TexasTowelie: How fed up are Texans with the utility company, Ted Cruz, shootings, politicking over the Border, etc etc?

Why can't we get Beto O'Rourke over the top anywhere?
