Out on bond, Dr. Brown takes the stand in divorce case
Jewelry worth $111,000 for his girlfriend, an $80,000 watch for himself and $25,000 in airplane tickets to Switzerland for the both were business expenses former hand surgeon Michael Brown said were necessary to make him a good CEO.
"This was consistent with my past conduct as a successful business man," Brown said Wednesday on the stand, testifying in an ongoing divorce settlement. "As a CEO, it helps for self-esteem for health of the mind, body and spirit. It helps me function better as a CEO."
Brown has been embroiled in a divorce of his fourth wife, Rachel Brown, for more than two years.
He was jailed this week for contempt after missing a divorce proceeding last month and returned to family court Wednesday.
