Join the Tribune for a conversation about Texas politics, demographics and 2014 with Congressman Joaquin Castro and his twin brother, San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro.

Julián Castro was elected to San Antonio’s City Council in 2001 and became the city’s youngest-ever mayor in 2009. Joaquin Castro joined the Texas House of Representatives in 2002 and was elected to the U.S. House this fall, representing Texas’ 20th district, which includes about half of San Antonio. In September, the Castro brothers received national attention when Julián served as they keynote speaker at the Democratic National Convention and was introduced by Joaquin.
