Local farmer spells out "Socialism. Don't Cha Love It" in field of crops; collects farm subsidies

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A local farmer is turning heads with a message in his field, and this isn't the first time he's done it.

You might remember, back in 2009, Sam Bates spelled out "Say No To Obama" in the weeds in his field, saying he was upset with what was happening in Washington at the time.

And now that the president has been re-elected, he's at it again.

A viewer sent us a photo of Bates' field.

It spells out "Socialism. Don't Cha Love It."

We contacted Sam Bates to ask him why he decided on this message, but he offered no comment.

It is time to ELIMINATE farm subsidies.

Someone should post something about that $370,000 he's stealing from his fellow Texans and bragging about it... He'll say that's not what he's doing, but add the facts up, and he is. Ought to have a plane with a sign flying overhead, or signs posted nearby about his subsidy.
