Third Arrest Made in Beating of DeAndre Harris at Charlottesville Rally

Authorities say a third person has been arrested in the beating of DeAndre Harris at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in August.

Lt. Matthew Edwards is spokesman for the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office in Arkansas. He said in a phone interview that 22-year-old Jacob Scott Goodwin of Ward, Arkansas, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from Charlottesville by U.S. marshals near his hometown.

Lt. Steve Upman, a spokesman for police in Charlottesville, says Goodwin is charged with malicious wounding in the Aug. 12 beating.

1. Have they arrested Deandre Harris yet? I heard they issued a warrant for him, too

on some bullshit charge for something that happened right before he was jumped.

3. it is my understanding he will turn himself in this week.

I believe that was from his lawyer.

The "they" that had a warrant issued was a white supremacist lawyer from SC who swore it out. Just another form of intimidation.

I'm answering from my memory, so I might not be 100% correct.

A magistrate issued a warrant as he is required to do. See my post #3 above.
